On Thursday Dec 7, 16 pairs (i.e. 8 complete tables) competed in NBC's 2017 Championship.

Victorious in this Red MasterPoints event was once again, defending Champion Don Heggie who this time partnered Jenny Tehan to win the title of NBC's 2017 Champions.

Don & Jenny, who both hail from Euroa was a "put-together" partnership for the event! They were matched-up by Michael Goh, Director & Principal of NBC. They managed to stay a nose ahead of the runners-up Jack Starmans & Margaret Moss, who both had recently teamed up as well as their usual respective partners were unable to play.

2nd Runners-Up went to the long partnership of Clare Purbrick and Robbie Little. Often the life of NBC, they'd tell you they would play better bridge when they have cards in one hand and a glass of wine in the other!

Encouragement award went to beginners Jen Arnold & Mel Arnold - common surname and common love for the game of Bridge. (The same surname is purely coincidental!).
